John Crane Hit with $9 Million Jury Verdict, Held 100 Percent Accountable for Damages

Monday, February 20, 2012

The mesothelioma lawyers at our firm are pleased to announce that we have recovered a $9.18 million jury verdict in a case involving a retired shipyard worker who died as a result of mesothelioma. The case was filed on behalf of the wife and two sons of John K. Bristow, who retired from Newport News Shipbuilding after 37 years of work. He passed away from mesothelioma one year ago, and it was believed that his disease was contracted during the 1960s and 1970s. The jury found asbestos manufacturer John Crane Inc. liable for 100% of the damages.

The case was led by trial attorney Robert R. Hatten.
