Hatten Continues Streak on Largest Verdicts List

For the seventh year in a row, a verdict by attorney Robert Hatten, of Patten, Wornom, Hatten, and Diamonstein, has been recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s annual compilation of “Virginia’s Largest Verdicts.” Mr. Hatten’s recovery of $9.18 million dollars against John Crane Inc. landed his verdict at number four on the list. The case involved a 68-year-old shipyard worker who died as a result of mesothelioma, allegedly caused by asbestos exposure during his employment at Newport News Shipyard.
